The act register
The list runs alongside . It brings together the names found in selected programme and recording research from the venue years, sorted into solo acts, bands and projects. Each act gets a single row, however often it turns up in the dated material.
How to read it
Type is a catalogue heading, not a complete description of the performer or ensemble. Origin is a broad working label too: it may join several places, or note that an act formed in one country while a member came from another. Read it as a rough guide, not as a definitive statement of nationality, residence or identity.
The two registers answer different questions. A row here says only that the name came up in the dossier's research on the venue years. The evidence for a particular date, venue or recording sits with the programme or release it belongs to. An advance listing does not become proof of a performance at the corner just because the act appears here.
Limits
This is not a complete list of performers or a head count. A large ensemble may take up one row while a single guest may get none. Some rows have no direct supporting link, and not every member is listed. A gap marks the edge of the current working list; it is no evidence that somebody did not appear.
